I have an Epson Model NX420. I am using refillable cartridges, and in just the last few days I have been receiving the "Ink Cartridges not recognized" message.
My research leads me to think I may have gotten an unsolicited firmware upgrade to the printer. The printer is a stand-alone and shared entity wirelessly connected to my home network.
If this was the case, I was never given the option to decline the upgrade, nor did I observe any messages to indicate that it had occurred! I am pursuing this with Epson as a separate issue.
I think I would like to try your utility to do a firmware DownGrade, to see if I can continue to use my refillable cartridges. But, I don't see the NX420 listed for the WIC Reset Utility DownGrade function or for the other utility functions (NX420W is listed for the others).
Please advise if the NX420 is covered for any or all of these utility functions.
