  1. I did a live chat with John and was told that the WIC program was just updated a few hours earlier to address this issue. The WIC version is now 3.90.10. I re-ran the WIC program and it updated automatically just like John told me it would and now I have instructions for the firmware downgrade. I completed the downgrade SAT (it did take about 10 minutes to re-write the eeprom and verify) and now my CIS cartridges are recognized- after a fashion. It took me 8-10 tries of inserting/re-inserting the carts before all of them would be recognized at the same time. I really don't know why this occurs. I did clean the circuit pads and the contact fingers with alcohol before insertion. Anyway, the CIS is recognized and now I am dealing with clogged heads since this printer has not been used for probably 6 months. If anyone has a good working solution to this clog issue, please advise. Anyway, thanks to John for a fast software update and help!!
  2. I have the WIC version 3.90.5 and I have bought a reset key. When I try to select "Firmware", and then select "Change Firmware Version" I get a box that pops up that says "Instruction is unavailable". I have already backed-up the EEPROM. What do I do now? How do I get the printer into the firmware downgrade mode?
