The Waste Ink Maintenance Box stores ink that gets flushed from the printer system during print head cleaning.
Your printer and its software will let you know when the maintenance box needs to be replaced.

This T671000 Ink Maintenance Box work with Epson WorkForce printers:

Waste Ink Maintenance Box has its own IC Chip, which counts quantity of waste inks. If You dont want to replace the Waste Ink Maintenance Box - You can Reset the chip on this Waste Ink Maintenance Box.

To Reset the chip You have to use special Chip Resetter SP-4015

This printer models have separate Waste Ink Maintenance cartridge with its own IC chip - so it CANT be reset by software. You can use WIC Reset Utility to Read Waste Ink Counters values ONLY! Not Reset but Read only!

  well pleased making my epson w-2860 chipless . the ink levels remain 100 % full i have a ciss system so i always have more ink than printer knows about.no longer the ritual of going through the motions of changing the cartridge when theres tons really being fed into the cartridges

  I don't like throwing something (a printer in this case) away and consuming our earth's resources (buying a new printer) just because Epson make it difficult for me to avoid doing this. I wish Epson would make products that can be maintained by the product owner and this way contributes to the well being of our planet. This reset utility worked 'as described' and now, having cleaned my ink pads, I can get more value from the printer I already own. Thanks for this reset software.

Only hiccup was needing to disable my security protection to install this wonderful product. Used it as a trial - which proved it worked - then bought the key to finish the job.
