About EPSON Printer Service Utility 2

EPSON Printer Service Utility 2 gives the user a broad range of control over the printer, to perform the best quality printing on various media. It also provides printer information easily, and updates printer firmware.

Note:

The original printer driver and EPSON Status Monitor 3 must be installed to use this software. For more details, see System Requirements

This software contains the following functions:

• Auto Adjustment:
  Perform automatic Nozzle Check and Head Cleaning, Bidirectional Alignment, or Unidirectional Alignment for coated media.

• Power Head Cleaning:
  Use if nozzles remain clogged after a normal head cleaning.

• Custom Paper Setup:
  Customize print settings to best accommodate your media and then save the settings to the printer under a unique name.

• Activate Custom Paper:
  Activate a Custom Paper Setup saved to the printer.

• Custom Paper File:
  Customize print settings to best accommodate your media and then save the settings to your computer.

• Printer Information:
  View or print various information about the printer.

• Firmware Update:
  Use to update the firmware installed in your printer.

• Bidirectional Alignment:
  Use to fix misaligned vertical lines by bidirectional printing and achieve very precise alignment of all eight colors, including black (Matte Black).

• Unidirectional Alignment:
  Use to fix misaligned vertical lines by unidirectional printing and achieve very precise alignment of seven colors. The position of black (Matte Black) is the standard for the positions of the other colors.
