How to Use EPSON Printer Service Utility 2
If you find vertical misalignment in the printout as shown below, try this menu and then the Unidirectional Alignment menu.
Bidirectional Alignment fixes misaligned vertical lines by bidirectional printing and allows very precise alignment of all eight colors, including black (Matte Black).

If you selected EPSON genuine media name, the value appears automatically.
If you selected Other (non-EPSON media) for Media Type, type the value of the media in the Paper Thickness text box, from 1 to 16. For paper thickness information, see the specifications or contact the dealer for the media.

![]() | Select the checkbox on the left to your selected number, from among #1 to #4. The corresponding row will be enabled. |
![]() | Click Print to print an alignment sheet. |
![]() | Look at the alignment sheet. Find the alignment pattern in each set, one for each color, that is vertically aligned. In the example below, 8 shows the best alignment. |
![]() | Enter the number of each aligned pattern in the corresponding boxes. In the example above, enter 8 in the appropriate color box. |
If you cannot find a properly aligned pattern, enter the number of the pattern that is closest to being aligned for that box.

![]() | Click the Save button. If an on-line error message appears, select STANDARD for the platen gap setting from the control panel of the printer. For the control panel operation, refer to the Reference Guide of the printer. |
