Chip Resetter has a light indication of the status.
Instructions for resetting Waste Ink Counters IC chips:
Perform a reset before the ink level drops to 15%;
Firmly connect the diaper cartridge chip to the Chip Resetter - the indicator will light up in red - this means there is contact between the chip and the Chip Resetter;
Hold the chip and Resetter in this state for 5-6 seconds;
After 4-5 seconds, the indicator will change its color to green - this means that the chip has been reset successfully;
If the indicator does not flash in green, it is possible that the contact is bad or the power supply elements of the resetter are faulty. In this case, unscrew the 2 screws on the back cover of the resetter, take out the 3 pill batteries and replace them with new ones.

Now I can use my non-OEM ink cartridges on my Epson printer
Thank you for this excellent piece of software, well worth it
Best regards | | dinesh kumar | 2011-01-20 15:01:18 | Went to town and bought a cable. Printer status is now restored. Thank you.
I\'m not the most computer tech person which added to the confusion. I do suspect there maybe a few others like myself that you could lessen some confussion by including a note that says \"if your printer is connected by wifi it will be necessary to use a USB cable during the hack\".
Thank you again for the program. It made me both mad and sick to think that after so little use of this printer that I was going to have to throw it out.
Gratefully yours, Dinesh Kumar | | Amit Das | 2012-09-30 18:27:52 | I bought your soft on your web site and used it without any trouble
My printer works again
Thanks a lot for your work | | YuanYuan Wang | 2008-01-19 13:27:07 | Was pulling my hairs out when my R340 displayed the message "parts reaching end of service life, see manual". As I know these printers are not made to be "servicable", and I am not ready to pay another hundred pounds for a new printer, I was devastated. Thanks to this service program, it took away the warning message and I can continue using my R340 with the CISS. Phew!!
Please note that you DO need to redirect the waste ink or replace the waste ink pads or you may risk dealing with an over-spilled printer.
A wise investment into this program. Thank you. | | john Liang | 2018-08-16 18:24:01 | I took a gamble last week by buying a Epson Pro 4900 for less than $140 thinking if I could not get it going, I can at least take the remaining ink out of the cartridge and use it on my other printers.
The initial nozzle test was not so bad for a printer that was unused for about 1 year, I got six Nozzles firing at around 90% not bad, the next thing I did was the popular Windex treatment, I ran 4 sessions of Windex treatment on the printhead, first one lasted 1 hour, second one lasted 2 hours and third one lasted 4 hours and the last one lasted 8 hours, I got a fully soaked paper towel in my last two treatments, I ran a series of power clean on the non firing nozzles but the Green nozzle remain clogged.
At this stage I thought this program may be my last chance to rescue this printer. I bought the program at 6 pm today, I ran the CL1 clean on OR/GR channel and the green nozzle remain clogged, I then ran the CL2 clean on the same nozzles and the same result, at this point I thought maybe this printer is completely dead but I will give CL3 a shot, I went for dinner when CL3 clean was performed on the printer. I came back immediately printed the nozzle check I got the perfect Nozzle pattern on almost every single colour nozzle except Cyan which has a few bar missing, a quick CL1 clean on Cyan/Magenta fix that.
The next thing I did was to run a quick paper profile on this printer with X-rite software, I printed two test pattern page to calibrate the printer, then come the first real print on my Epson Stylus Pro 4900 it was absolutely brilliant, the best printer I have ever own and the IQ on one of the cheapest glossy media I could find was simply breath taking.
I have to say without this software my $140 purchase would probably end up in the rubbish dump.
I must say I was skeptical about the truthfulness of the success that other has with this software but with myself actually tried this software, I have no reservation but to recommend that anyone who has a clogged Epson Pro 4900 to give this program a shot it may just save your printer.
On the scale of 10 I would probably give it a 11 and it is more than just good! | | Xavier Thomas | 2020-01-30 02:35:32 | Great tool, disabled the ink cartridges and now the printer shows full ink even with no cartridges installed.
Thank you!!! My printer is FREE! | | Devid Moretton | 2015-01-25 19:50:30 | I found the problem, why the reset diidnt work. it was in depending of the epson status monitor.
I was going to the task manager and stopped the status monitor.
The problem was \\\"The printer statut manager\\\"
After stopping status monitor, the reset was work probably.
