Chip Resetter has a light indication of the status.
Instructions for resetting Waste Ink Counters IC chips:
Perform a reset before the ink level drops to 15%;
Firmly connect the diaper cartridge chip to the Chip Resetter - the indicator will light up in red - this means there is contact between the chip and the Chip Resetter;
Hold the chip and Resetter in this state for 5-6 seconds;
After 4-5 seconds, the indicator will change its color to green - this means that the chip has been reset successfully;
If the indicator does not flash in green, it is possible that the contact is bad or the power supply elements of the resetter are faulty. In this case, unscrew the 2 screws on the back cover of the resetter, take out the 3 pill batteries and replace them with new ones.

matt hoffman | 2012-01-22 20:45:03 | Wow, I cannot believe that this actually worked. I had some issues when ordering the reset key, but i contacted the website via email and they immediately got back to me and sent me the key code. ran the program and the printer now works again. I had tryed the reset utility from epsons website, but it didnt work how it was supposed to, it would reset but when you would go to print it would go back to the flashing inkpad needs replaced. I will have to print for a while and see how long this actually works, but for now this has saved this printer from going into the trash. I am glad i stumbled across this program and the website. (used on Epson Artisan 800). | | Ruth Mason | 2006-09-19 06:57:12 | It worked fine. It was just that we didn't know where to start with opening the program. I couldn't get it to install so there was an icon that took us into the whole program. I found out that if I clicked on the one icon it opened the one we needed. The service manual will be of great help for later when the ink absorption pad needs changing.
Thanks for your prompt attention.

I paid less for my Epson R320 1 year ago than Epson want for servicing it. I had printed a head a nozzle check 2 days ago when I put in a new cartrige all printouts were perfect but today my Printer told me it needed service and refused to work. Your fix showed me two things the Ink wells did not need flushing as stated by the Epson Tech and that my printer had been set to only run half the usual plates so that was why the service notice cam up so soon after I purchased it. | | josue salcido | 2020-04-19 19:43:05 | Thank you for helping me reset my printer and for the free trial key. Best $9.99 I've spent in some time! 12,000 Pages printed (large jobs) and my ink pad was barely used... EPSON get a clue, many thanks 2manuals for having the foresight to correct their lunacy... | |
