To get the best quality, we recommend certain menus in the EPSON Printer Service Utility 2 depending on your purpose. Refer to the table below.

Printing on EPSON genuine media with the best quality

Perform Auto Nozzle Check and Head Cleaning in the "Auto Adjustment" menu.

If the nozzles are not recovered after print head cleaning, go to the "Power Head Cleaning" menu to perform power head cleaning.

Perform Auto Bidirectional Alignment in the "Auto Adjustment" menu.

Perform Auto Unidirectional Alignment in the "Auto Adjustment" menu.

Note:
If you are not satisfied with the results of automatic adjustment or if you use uncoated media, go to "Bidirectional Alignment" or "Unidirectional Alignment" to perform manual alignment.

Printing on non-EPSON media with the best quality

Perform Auto Nozzle Check and Head Cleaning in the "Auto Adjustment" menu.

If the nozzles are not recovered after print head cleaning, go to the "Power Head Cleaning" menu to perform power head cleaning.

Note:

Go to the "Custom Paper Setup" menu to set and save the appropriate parameters into the printer.

Go to the "Activate Custom Paper" menu to activate the setting saved in the printer.
