Is there a customer service person at the business? My question is: I see that you have the "HP OfficeJet G85 Service Manual and Parts List". How many pages does the manual have? Please answer my question by email, myccma@gmail.com. Thanks in advance. | | | DongHwi Park | 2023-12-11 18:06:41 | | I didn't go to the AS center and immediately solved it at home, and I'm using tissue to absorb lung ink! It wasn't a waste of money at all! Thanks a lot! | | | Paul Inouye | 2016-12-16 20:41:53 | | Thanks for the program and manual. I was able to revive a 2 year old 4900.
I had 100% blockage in 8 of the 11 heads, and over 50% blockage in the last
three.... I ran the ink charge with cleaning fluid. Now I have 100% of the
nozzle check pattern on ALL of the heads. I was blown away. I thought for
sure I was going to pay for a new head. So, thank you.
I also have a an older Epson Stylus Pro 4000. It has been sitting a while
and the heads are dried up. Do you have the same program and manual for
this printer? I would like to try to revive it as well. If you do could
you just send me a link? Thanks again | | | ann weston | 2022-09-01 07:15:35 | I bought one reset key and it hasn't even been a month yet and my printer is already telling me that the ink pad needs service. All of these good reviews that I have read on here is the reason i took a chance and purchased a reset key. I have not been able to use my printer at all. I am highly pissed off that not even a month after purchasing the one reset key and my printer is back at it again. I want a refund or to be able to try another reset code. this is a bunch of B.S.
REPLY:
Waste counters doesn't have any relation to how much time did user used the printer. Waste counters increase when printhead cleaning is performed. One printhead cleaning takes about 3-4% of waste counter. So if user make 25-30 printhead cleanings - the waste ink counters will reach 100% and overflow. Doesn't depend on time you will make this cleanings - in 1 month or in 1 year or in 1 day or in 3 years. Usually when printer is new and using Epson original inks - -there will be no need to make printhead cleanings. After Epson inks finish - users often buy third party inks - they have not so good quality as Epson and may clog printhead more often. So after Epson inks finish - users make printhead cleanings more often - as a result - after 20-30 printhead cleanings - counters overflow. So - try to make printhead cleanings less often.
Only ONE thing what does Reset Key - it resets waste ink pads counters to ZERO. Doesn't matter counters will be reset by yourself using Reset key ($9.99) or by Epson Service Center engineer ($50) - the result will be the same - counters will become 0%
Conclusion: use high quality inks!

Powered it up, printed a nozzle check, and banged my head against the wall! Only magenta and light cyan did appear, and two broken lines of photo black. Did the Windex trick 5-8 times, and at the 16. nozzlecheck, 9 colours appeared, BUT some actually has got worse, the more Windex the head had.
Preparing myself on making a stronger brew for the cleaning (a lot of Googling and reading!), I came across the Service Program. Reluctant to spill ~ 150 ml of ink, I first moved along (also, the website seemed shady, however, alot of mentions on various foras).
Today I decided \'What the heck, 30 bucks, if it doesn\'t work, I\'ll survive\', so I purchased a license, installed on a laptop (with USB connection instead of network), and chose the option to prime the left channels first - and WOW: EVERY nozzle on that side now fired, and made an (99%) perfect nozzle check. So did the other side, when finished filling the lines again.
So: 5 f*cking huge stars from me! :)
Thank you for this wonderful utility! | |
