11-14-2025 - I JUST USED THE DOWNLOADED UTLITY PROGRAM AND BOUGHT THEIR $9.99 CODE FOR PURPOSE OF RESETTING THE INK WASTE COUNTER BULLSHIT ( EPSON ET-4550 SEVERAL YEARS OLD ) WHICH I NEVER HEARD OF UNTIL LAST WEEK WHEN THE PRINTER WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING BUT TELL ME TO CONTACT EPSON. LOL- NOPE - CHAT GTP GAVE ME THE INFO FROM HERE, USED IT AND WORKED - TOOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES - ( I HOWEVER - DIDNT ACTUALLY CLEAN OR EMPTY THE INK WASTE OR WHATEVER - IM HOPING FOR THE BEST, ASSUMING ITS OLD ENOUGH THAT IT HAS DRYED ON ITS OWN. - THIS PART ISNT RECCOMENDED TO MY UNDERSTANDING - BUT ILL FIND OUT I SUPPOSE) BUT LONG STORY SHORT - EAST TO USE DOWNLOADED UTILITY, AND RESET KEY FOR 10 BUCKS WORKED - ABOUT 5 MINUTES OR LESS PROCESS. I was skeptical, like I'm sure we all are when buying something new online, but I simply turned off my Epson Monitor, under maintenance tab, bought the key, turned off my printer, then turned it back and and IT WORKED! Well worth $10.00, just so I don't have to buy another printer.

The procedure was easy. I used the trial version, and my printer is now working. I will buy the reset key next time. I recommend this fix. Thank you....

I saved the printer of my boyfriend a few years ago with the trial key and he was so happy that he gifted it to me. Now I decided to give the same printer one more chance and it worked again, saving me 300 euro for the price of 14 within 5 minutes. I also changed the pads by the way did not just reset the software and I recomend you to do that as well. Super easy to use and worth the money! Last but not least a really sustainable solution, allowing us to use a device which otherwise would be throuwn away.
