| fernando rocha | 2025-01-02 21:35:28 | | It works. Just purchased a one time counter reset license for my Epson L380.
Immediately after payment with credit card (electronic version for web shopping) , I got the key number and used to reset the printer.
Worked like a charm | | | david miranda | 2016-04-07 16:43:28 | My Epson Stylus R280 is printing again! This was my favorite printer for photos and quick single-sided jobs. It printed and printed until the dreaded message and alternating flashing orange lights appeared.
I was skeptical that WicReset could do anything because of the flashing lights. I downloaded the Windows version (XP), virus scanned it and after it passed, installed it. I first tried the trial reset that sets the waste counters to 90%. That worked immediately. I bought a key. That worked immediately and now my printer is working like new and waste counters are near 0.
I use a continuous ink system (CIS) on my Epson printers... have for years. This software also has a nice utility to charge the cartridges and clean the heads. My R280 printer sat for a while after the counters reached limit and the ink lines filled with air. I used the WicReset utility to charge & clean, and now it prints like new.
This software is easy to use and guides you step by step. I encountered no difficulties and everything worked first time. It is very good that there are smart engineers out there who took the time to reverse-engineer Epson\'s awful ink pad limitations.
One note of caution, and this has nothing to do with WicReset... I print so much and fear my ink pads will truly overflow, so I\'ll be installing a waste ink tank on my printers. I had one on an ancient R200 printer and it worked great. This is an essential accessory for CIS printers.
Thank you WicReset. | | | armando ro | 2007-05-18 22:04:53 | | please service adjustment program for r220 the epson | | | Wesley Pritchard | 2003-11-10 00:29:10 | | This program is a definate must have if you want to service your own printer. Using this program along with the servive manual (440,640,740) will help you to determine what the problem is. The program shows print head voltages, waste ink counter and reset, and recover print head functions just to name a few of the useful functions that this program has to offer. It returned my printer from a paperweight into a working Epson 640 in minutes. Even if your printer is working properly you can use this program ensure it will keep working. For less than $6.00 it is worth having. | | | eugen niculescu | 2006-05-24 21:19:42 | | Worked perfectly! Thanks! | | | David Wrather | 2016-03-31 22:39:24 | I have been struggling with a clogged head on my Epson Pro 4900 for weeks.
The Windex-on-a-papertowel-overnight solution has worked before; however, it was not clearing the nozzles this time.
Thanks to John\'s link ( http://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=77073.0 ) for guiding me to 2manuals.com!!
I purchased the SP4900 program and it was GREAT!
I used the Adjustments (Individual) program on Section 2 Head Related Checks and Adjustments, first at level CL3 then CL2 for the clogged colours channels and voila, my head is now fully functional again.
I have only browsed through the other SP4900 subroutines, but they will provide me with a full suite of maintenance routines that could be very useful in the future.
This program was fantastic. The only inconvenience was that it is a Windows .exe file and I am a Mac OSX user. I had to launch Windows 7 Pro in Fusion and conduct the maintenance; however, with so many Mac users needing this type of help for the Epson Pro printers, it would be great to have an OSX program option too. That being said, if you can run Windows on your computer and have an Epson Pro 4900, I highly recommend this indespensible program. At $29.99 it is a steal compared to calling in a technician.
Keep up the super product support, John!!
Thanks. | | | Jeff Carbone | 2019-05-01 09:36:34 | I love printing hard copies of material to review. I bought an Epson EcoTank 2650 for the single purpose of never having to worry about how much I have to print.
When I found out about the ink pad and how it basically “fills up” and prevents you from printing, I was pretty pissed off.
I called a service center in my state in the US and they wanted $110 to replace the ink pad and reset it. I searched hard for a solution and when I found this I was really sure this was a scam.
I tried it from one of your affiliates (octoinkjets) and did the trial to reset it to 90% and it worked.
Thank god you guys have this tool. I bought a key for $10 and was done with it. Watched a video on how to clean the ink pads and it was super easy. Now I have a new printer basically.
I can’t believe Epson gets away with this crap. You guys rock!
It really took a leap of faith to try this. | |
