I tried using the free utility Epson provided, the counter reset to 40%, then after a print I got the error again. I gave WIC a chance out of desperation and it work! Saved me from throwing out a perfectly good printer and buying a new one. I use CISS and do a lot of prints and head cleaning. I cleaned ink pads myself but will set up a waste bottle when I get the chance.

I was ready to trash my Epson 1400 but decided to give 2manuals.com a try. I purchased the usb sender tool and firmware upgrade as well. Had my printer fixed in minutes! Great work and products! I saved the printer of my boyfriend a few years ago with the trial key and he was so happy that he gifted it to me. Now I decided to give the same printer one more chance and it worked again, saving me 300 euro for the price of 14 within 5 minutes. I also changed the pads by the way did not just reset the software and I recomend you to do that as well. Super easy to use and worth the money! Last but not least a really sustainable solution, allowing us to use a device which otherwise would be throuwn away.

Having used Epson "reset" utility once, with success on my XP 830, it allowed me a bit more printing time until it just stopped cold. Research found this site. My download from 2manuals was easy as was the entire process and my printer is working once again, no thanks to Epson. I removed the ink pad chamber and replaced the saturated pads with some of my wife's cotton make up pads...Ha ! We'll see how long that lasts. Very similar material. Cheers and thanks for a good product !!

I spent 4 hours trying to get my r340 to work then l I used your program to reset the protection counter. I have just printed 5 pages and 4 disks. Slightly cryptic instructions but it worked perfectly. it took me all of 5 minutes.
