Epson XP-700 working fine till suddely get message saying 'ink pad at end of useful life - contact Epson Service' Epson service not interested as printer no longer under warranty and suggested best option would be to buy a new printer and scrap this one. So not a happy chappy and looked for options to try and resolve this issue. Found this site and downloaded reset program. WIN10 64bit PC connected to printer by WiFi. Ran reset utility - did not find any printers. Switched off printer and re started, disabled Epson Print Utility still no printer found. Rebooted PC and then after it had restarted tried the WIC Reset Utility again after connecting printer through USB. This time WIC found both connections WiFI and USB. Using USB took Reset option and purchased Key. Copied key into WIC utility and OK. Switched Off printer and then switched on and magic no error message and printer back to normal. Very pleased and somewhat relieved as have some printing to complete tonight before tomorrow morning. Very happy to pay £9.97 for this result.

This program is a definate must have if you want to service your own printer. Using this program along with the servive manual (440,640,740) will help you to determine what the problem is. The program shows print head voltages, waste ink counter and reset, and recover print head functions just to name a few of the useful functions that this program has to offer. It returned my printer from a paperweight into a working Epson 640 in minutes. Even if your printer is working properly you can use this program ensure it will keep working. For less than $6.00 it is worth having.

après avoir beaucoup cherché j'ai enfin trouvé votre logiciel. Très facile d'utilisation dommage il n'est pas en Français mais le résultat est que l'imprimante est repartie pour un tour. Merci pour tout je recommande.

Great, for me absolutely great and excellent ! At my first email contact with 2manuals.com I received a fast response to a question about my printer and then I've been spend ~20 $ for the RX420 Printer manual and one RESET- Key , and it works :-) The Printer manual even is absolutely recommend for Technic freaks , escpecially the pictures in the 'disassembly/assembly' --_ section 4.3.10 Waste Ink Pads are useful. Still using an old Epson ET-2550, got a warning that there was a problem with one of the ink pads then within a few days got an error code E-11 which stopped the printer working completely (ink waste collector full and needed a counter reset). Searched for issue and Bootstrappin' on Youtube talked through a fix using WIC Utility. The hardest part of the whole process for me was getting the ink waste collector off the printer and washing out the pads. The WIC Utility was really easy to install and use and has fixed the problem straight away. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
