Epson TX420 Firmware

The firmware of the printer is stored onto the Flash ROM on the Main Board. Whenever the Main Board is replaced, or when updating the firmware is required, write the firmware on the Flash ROM following the procedure included.

System Requirements: Windows 2000, XP (32-bit) (or other systems run in the compatibility mode - about compatibility mode).

  Hello, I've been ripped off like thousands and millions of others, no doubt? I bought a key for Epson XP-2100 without a chip, but it's not clear what to do. I didn't receive any instructions, and the ones on your website contradict each other! I tried to update the firmware, waited a long time, and finally realised that the firmware wasn't updated! What use is the key I bought? And why am I being asked to reset the counter to zero when I want a printer without a chip? What is the wicreset.exe software for?   My Epson 1400 got the end of life message and I had already reset it once before so I couldn't use the Epson site to reset it. I remembered this site from years ago and purchased the utility reset and it worked like a charm. Only wish I had not spent $400 on a new printer before remembering your site. Anyways I just did a live video showing that this really works on my youtube channel. More people need to know about this remedy!
