The Xerox Docu Color DC12 Service Manual is the primary document used for repairing and troubleshooting.

WARNING!!!
This Installation is for Windows 95/98/Me ONLY!
1. Launch ODOCDEV.EXE.
2. Replace C:/XEROX/ODOC/DATA/BOOKS.INI on your PC to BOOKS.INI from downloaded folder.
3. Rename letter of CD-ROM drive in BOOKS.INI if necessery (default D:).
4. Launch C:/XEROX/ODOC/BIN/BROWSER.EXE and choose Xerox DC12 manual.

My Epson 1400 got the end of life message and I had already reset it once before so I couldn't use the Epson site to reset it. I remembered this site from years ago and purchased the utility reset and it worked like a charm. Only wish I had not spent $400 on a new printer before remembering your site. Anyways I just did a live video showing that this really works on my youtube channel. More people need to know about this remedy!

I replaced the ink pad unit and still nothing i you tube it and wic reset it in five minutes not a scam it was amazing thank you

Very impressed! After a fruitless search for official Epson support for the Waste Ink error I found a YouTube video showing how to remove and clean the ink pads but still needed to reset the counter. After some initial "Is this unofficial 3rd Party Solution a scam?" trepidation I took a chance on the WIC reset tool and now, about half an hour (mainly spent drinking tea and waiting for the key to be emailed) and 6 quid later I have a fully functioning XP-342. In the meantime, Epson UK responded to a message I sent them on Twitter, telling me that I could send the printer away to their service centre for an unspecified period of time and pay them £48 to have the ink pads changed and the counter reset. All with a caveat that having "tampered" with the ink pads myself, the service centre might refuse to fix the printer. Thanks for a great piece of kit which has saved me a lot of time, effort and money.
