| NACHO GOMEZ | 2010-10-25 23:44:48 | I got the flashing lights and Service required message on my Epson R2400, as many others have before!
I spent hours online and eventually managed to download Epsons own
Adjustment Program. It showed me the waste ink settings but would not let me reset the counter, although I had disconnected the feed tubes and re-routed them to an external bottle.
Today I found 2Manuals.com and downloaded their WIC reset program. I thought It probably won\'t work but one key is only $9.99 so what the heck!
Well that was the best $9.99 I have ever spent - as soon as I entered the key and hit RESET the printer whirred into action, ink pumped into my waste bottle and I am back in action!
This has saved me a lot of money and the hassle of sending the printer to an Epson service centre. Truly a 5***** product! I use wic reset utility whenever I do repair on printers. Hopeful that the developer would add my very own printer WF-3620 on the list. God bless to the maker and developers of wic reset utility | | | Priscilla Villalobos | 2020-07-23 13:18:55 | | Good morning.
I have two questions, if you´re so kind to help me.
1) The expiration date key. Does it mean once we get it, we have a period to use it? Or what the expiration date referenced to?
2) If the printer has a problem and we have to format it again, will the key information lost and we need a new one, or does it be able to be used again?.
Many thanks !

I had an extended warranty that I purchased with the printer but because I didn\'t register the warranty within 30 days I was told by Mack Camera that they would not honor the warranty. So after much research and web surfing I found myself at 2manuals.
I wasn\'t even sure that the wic was the problem and I had serious doubts about spending more money on what could just be another scam like the extended warranty was. However like one reviewer said, what was $9.99.
Well I downloaded the program, obtained the $9.99 pin code, loaded the software, and exactly as the video shows I was up and running.
I couldn\'t believe it when the printer sprung to life and was ready to print.
Hey, try it. You\'ll be glad you did. | | | mauro albanese | 2020-10-22 13:26:46 | | Just over a week ago, I figured I was going to be in the market for a new printer. When the error message came up on my Epson XP-610 stating that "Parts inside the printer are at the end of their useful life" I initially was quite disappointed. However, after a quick Google search for that phrase, I came across the OctoInkjet website. After a little further research, I decided to give the trial waste ink counter reset code a shot - after all, what did I have to lose - and, somewhat to my surprise, it worked! Knowing that I then needed to purchase a new set of ink pads and a reset key to fully resolve my printer issues, I was pleasantly surprised at the low cost of purchasing both of these items together. I then placed my order, but knowing that the product was coming from overseas (I'm in the USA), I figured it would be a minimum of at least a few weeks before my printer pads arrived. But, lo and behold, the pads arrived on my doorstep in just over a week! I was thrilled and so I quickly replaced the pads in my printer with the new set (which, by the way, were a perfect fit and the instructions provided were excellent), ran the counter reset program applying the reset code I had purchased, and everything worked flawlessly! So now it feels like I have a brand new printer (although it's probably about 5 years old) and I can continue to purchase inexpensive third party ink cartridges (which I have always done), continuing to save me money for years to come. Thank you OctoInkjet!!! I will certainly be telling others to check out your product. P.S. - I seldom write product reviews so this shows how impressed I am with this product. I particularly love it when a solution is provided that overcomes "planned obsolescence" by the manufacturer. | | | chris ian fiel | 2006-09-21 08:34:28 | | | Evgen Test | 2010-08-31 09:40:59 | | My printer stopped printing with the error as \"General Error\" Epson quoted me $60 to send an engineer to fix my printer.
After reading through the information on this site I decided to fix it myself.
Found the problem was related to the waste ink pad counter.
Only 10 minutes, I had the the printer working. The printer tested fine and has done approx 150 pages since with NO issues.
Thanks for the WIC program! | |
