Hi,
I have an Epson SC-P10070 (T809 series) and want to remove the region lock to use T802 cartridges.
Does your tool support unlocking or changing the destination code on the SC-P10070?
Can it bypass or handle the anti-tampering / write-protection routines found in the latest firmware?

It took me 3 days and I finally figured out that I needed the epson original driver on my laptop. It had been using the windows print driver. This app worked to reset my counter on my epson ET4800.

I was initially hesitant to download the file to my Mac because my computer blocked it from opening. After reviewing the Privacy & Security settings and allowing it to run, the software opened without any problems.

Wonderful! It worked.
But not the first time
I also bought Firmware key but my model ET-2800 not listed. I did it anyway. I'm a dummy.
Downloaded and ran new WIC Utility. Shutoff/unplug printer and USB cable tried again and voila it worked. Powered off immediately.
Powered on and it is working!!!
Firmware was replaced. Before XE13QZ 13/02/2026
Now: XE18MB 18/11/2022

Epson XP-630 - Waste full and this app worked without an issue on the first try. Hate that they lock you out and need to hunt for solutions but this is the way of the world now and 2Manuals.com with the WIC Reset Utility came to fill the gap that Epson intentionally made. Thanks for this! I don't like to e-waste when I don't need to and this solved that problem.

This was one of the most satisfying on-line experience I have EVER experienced!
It started with some slightly suspicious message appearing on our (usually functional) 2019 Epson ET-2760 ink jet printer:
“The Inkpad Needs Service. Contact Epson.”
My wife, who has been the person diligently tending to the Epson, had surrendered because Epson was TOTALLY unresponsive.
So then it was my turn. I did the only thing I ever do when confronted with a potential fiasco like this: I entered the mysterious Epson message into my Google search engine. Up popped information about a "WIC Reset Utility" that seemed to make sense. I downloaded the TRIAL version, which would theoretically be able to “reset” the Epson’s Inkpad counter One Time. Say Wha?!?
Bottomline: It worked HEROICALLY, so I I have gone ahead and purchased the actual WIC Reset Utility software. I am imagining that if this message ever appears again I will now be able to work around it.
This software literally SAVED our old Epson printer, for which I will be eternally grateful.

Pour 8.54 € (9.99 $) j'ai facilement réinitialiser les compteurs de mon Epson XP-610 qui était bloquée.
This software has the advantage of working over Wi-Fi, so you don't need a USB cable.
For €8.54 ($9.99), I easily reset the counters on my Epson XP-610, which had frozen.
